Teddy and Tina were a leading couple for the Spit Smack Baptist Church plant. They were deeply involved in its launch and subsequent leadership, then something happened. Tina saw an advertisement that said, “Meet local Christian swingers who believe that an open and honest relationship with each other will keep any marriage fresh and exciting.” Tina thought this sounded like a way to spice up their marriage. They began attending this “new” group called Harmony Church. The pastor of Harmony explained that Jesus delivers from all the bondage of the Law’s requirements. Eventually, Teddy and Tina completely stopped attending SSBC. They complained that the teaching there was not compassionate but condemning. The people of SSBC feel the absence of Teddy and Tina. They miss the strong Christian couple and their leadership in the church.
