The Tedious Life of Rev. Thomas

Rev. Thom Thomas, the pastor of the Evangelical Church of Fort Gilead is a respected member of his denomination, a leading councilman of Fort Gilead, former head of the Fort Gilead Business Round Table and a founding member of the Greater Fort Gilead Ministerial Alliance. His church, ECFG, is very influential in its denomination. All seemed well on the outside but doctrinally Rev. Thomas and the congregation grew very tired of a gospel they just weren’t engaged with. They looked for new and exciting spiritualities. Mystics were invited to speak and yoga was taught in the fellowship hall. They even had a retreat to learn about the healing power of crystals. Rev. Thomas used the Bible less and less in his sermons and yet the church continued to grow. Only a few members noticed the slide away from scripture.
