Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled. Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.
Proverbs 9:5-6
This outline is intended to be used in conjunction with the School of Wisdom podcast found HERE on YouTube. However, don’t let that stop you from using it for your own personal use. I am glad to provide these to you free of charge.
The School of Wisdom Bible study examines the book of Proverbs chapter by chapter for 31 weeks or until I’m done, which ever comes first. You can jump into the lessons at any point. By way of the power of podcasting, you can start at the beginning or study a chapter(s) of interest to you.
In Proverbs chapter nine Solomon presents the tale of two banquets. One set by Lady Wisdom and the other by Lady Foolish. Wisdom’s banquet reminds us of the feast that Jesus told about in Matthew 22. This chapter is shorter than the previous nine chapters but its vibrant illustrations make a big impact on the student in the school of wisdom. This is also the last chapter in the first section of Proverbs. Next week we begin the second section.
