An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee.
Exodus 20:24
Where does this day find you? Answers abound to that question. We are in our homes or the homes of family members. Maybe we are still going to work everyday. We are in the market place to buy necessities. Where we are the passage today speaks to us.
The earthen altar wasn’t fancy or gilded with gold or precious stones. That altar was build from what God made. We might call it common but worship has a way of transforming the common to the extraordinary. Build an altar today from your common circumstances. Build it where you are and the Lord will come and bless you.
