Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
Proverbs 4:7
Dear Church and Friends,
Monday’s are my day to run errands. I go to the bank, the grocer, the post office, church, and anywhere else I need to conduct family business. When I go to the grocery store I usually but the few things we need for the week. But what if you could go to the store and buy wisdom?
Guess what? It’s free! Proverbs chapter 4 tells us about its benefits and how to obtain it. Notice beginning in verse 4 the list of things wisdom provides.
- She shall preserve thee.
- She shall keep thee.
- She shall promote thee.
- She shall bring thee to honor.
- She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace, a crown of glory.
- She is thy life.
All these things are ours IF we do what the teacher/father says in verse 2 and 4. His word is the fountain of wisdom and understanding. It is our great privilege to learn it and keep it. You can find the outline for the chapter here. Download it or view it online.

Prayer Request: Please pray for the Danes of Denmark.
- On Wednesday, April 29, Connect Kobenhavn will hold a spring event for university students in Copenhagen, Denmark. This group is made up of churches and ministry partners throughout the city and has done a wonderful job of connecting university students with churches and faith-based ministries through different events that they’ve held over the past year. Please pray that their spring event will bring in university students who are seeking connection and community. Pray that these students will connect with a group that can minister to them and that can point them to the truth of Jesus Christ. Pray that there will be a movement of the Holy Spirit among the 160,000 university students in Copenhagen.
