Pastor’s Letter – June 8, 2020 – Come, Eat of My Bread

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

Proverbs 9:10

Dear Church and Friends,

We are just a few days from returning to in-person worship at Creek Road Baptist Church. I’m excited to lead worship again and to see everyone. Things will be a little different at first. Here is a list of some of the changes that will be implemented.

  • Start time will be changed from 10:45 to 11:00 AM.
  • No Greeters.
  • No Ushers.
  • No Fellowship time during the service.
  • No offering taken up during the service.

These are just a few of the changes you will see this coming Sunday. I’ll go over more of the long-term changes during this week’s edition of the Pastor’s Letter. In the meantime I hope you enjoy a study of Proverbs 9.

Podcast: Proverbs 9:1-18.

Prayer Requests: Please pray for Wayne Husk, Cottage Grove, Ore.

  • Wayne Husk planted Hope in the Grove Baptist Church in Cottage Grove, Ore. Pray for our small congregation as we look for creative ways over the next few months to meet physical needs in our community of 10,000 people. Ours is a blue collar timber community, and many families are hurting economically due to the recent pandemic fallout. Pray that as we meet these needs we will be able to share the love of Christ and His gospel.
