Song 5.6 |Withdrawn

I opened to my beloved;
What a glorious thought!
But my beloved had withdrawn himself,
No longer lingering at my door,
And was gone.
My soul failed when he spake,
I fainted with delight.
I sought him and desire grew,
But I could not find him.
I called him, my cry rose up
But he gave me no answer;
Separation deepened affection.
