Lamentations 2.1 ~ Forgotten

How hath the Lord covered the daughter of Zion
With a cloud in his anger.
Does every generation ask so boldly?
Our prayers tend toward accusation too.
And cast down from heaven
Unto the earth the beauty of Israel,
As if it was seated there perpetually.
In arogance we think nothing can change.
And remembered not his footstool
In the day of his anger!
The worst of all is being forgotten.
