Lamentations 3.57-58 ~ In the Day

Thou drewest near in the day that I called upon thee: 
"This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, 
And saved him out of all his troubles."
Thou saidst, Fear not.
"For, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, 
Which shall be to all people."
O Lord, thou hast pleaded the causes of my soul; 
Thou hast redeemed my life.
"Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; 
For he hath visited and redeemed his people,
And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us 
In the house of his servant David."
