Bow down thine ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply thine heart unto my knowledge.Proverbs 22:17
Dear Church and Friends,
I know last week as we looked at the most wonderful if/then statement the world has ever seen, but you were quietly wishing for a hard and fast command related to the Proverbs. This passage marks an important structural division in the Proverbs. From chapter 10 up to this point, we have read individual proverbs from which the reader can study at his leisure or need. Now Solomon begins a new section of speaking to the son or student that will take us up to the end of chapter 24. Then beginning in chapter 25 we have the collections of Hezekiah, Agur, and Lemuel.
All my best,
