Matthew 24 is a time-scape painted by the Lord Jesus which leads us up to his return.
I guest the question is, is thankfulness possible during these troubled days? The answer doesn’t depend on the troubled days. Giving thanks has always been a matter of faith.
There is always a period after, isn’t there? Jesus is already there waiting for his men to come ashore to their “after.” He’s already there waiting for us to come ashore as well. He’s ready, with fish and bread.
“God is not made better by man’s praise, not worse by man’s blasphemy, but man himself is amended by fearing God, who is good, not accidentally, derivatively, or partially, but essentially, naturally, and perfectly.”
