In this chapter we have two instructors who enter the classroom. First, we hear the instruction of a father. Then, we have the instruction of a wise man. They are very similar and contain repeating themes.
Qualities such as kindness, truthfulness, and fruitfulness are expounded as evidence of righteousness in the heart. The chapter also reveals how the Lord blesses the righteous by establishing him or her in three important areas of living.
Chapter eleven focuses on righteousness and the righteous man. It especially looks at the nine friends of the righteous.
