Here in chapter 26, the writer gives us a large section that identifies the fool and his characteristics.
These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
The men of Hezekiah have done us all a favor by copying out these verses. This chapter is divided by six sections, wisdom for the king kicks things off.
Two more “My Son” sections divide chapter 24 into thirds. The chapter starts off with four wisdom statements and ends with a detailed look at the slothful man.
