What is small, poor, and weak and is stronger than large, rich, and powerful? Lots of stories in the Bible carry this plot. It’s one way the Lord glorifies himself, but you probably don’t expect to find it in a parable in the book of Ecclesiastes.
Christian, as salt and light in your world it is up to you to discern these things for the benefit of those in your orbit. They need to see how you handle this both with your actions and words.
Many parts of Ecclesiastes are like a test for the believer. Solomon asks questions that seem to challenge faith. Instead of being upset over the questions, which usually leads to us not reading the book, let’s face them head on and answer them.
I found this chapter a great addition to my prayer time. I began praying through the chapter but didn’t get very far before the Spirit of God convicted me of all my vain, foolish words.
