Thy word is a soothing relief, yet Have I really searched it out in its Hid-in places? Mine heart needs nourishment from the strong meat, That I might not sin against thee.
Wherewithal shall an old man find peace, or A young man freedom from youthful lust, and Cleanse his way? By taking heed to the advise of strangers? Thereto is the way of vanity. According to your wisdom, Thy word is the key to peace and freedom.
I have served for so long, and Kept my promises. Thy precepts have been my guide, And thy testimonies my path. For all of my labor, and My ways, nothing has changed. Are there no victories for me? Before thee I will find rest.
My soul feels frozen, and Hath kept none of her vows. Thy testimonies exhort me to obedience, And to wisdom born of fear. I love them because of truth, and Exceedingly examine myself by them.
